How it works
Scottsdale picks up brush and bulk once a month for residential customers, on a set week for each area of the city. Crews pass each street once during that week and don't come back for late piles.
Cities update these programs often. Confirm your date and the current rules on the official Scottsdale bulk trash page.
The rules
- Monthly pickup on your area's scheduled week
- Have piles out by 5:00 a.m. on Monday of your scheduled week
- Don't set them out more than nine days before that Monday
- Piles can't exceed 10 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 4 feet tall
- Keep green waste and bulk items in two separate piles, at least 3 feet apart
- Tree limbs and branches no longer than 6 feet
What bulk pickup won't take
- Construction and remodeling debris
- Paint
- Tires
- Hazardous materials
Hauling it yourself
Scottsdale residential customers can haul up to 2,000 pounds of trash, brush, or bulk to the Salt River Landfill once per calendar week with a utility bill and driver's license.
A dump trailer makes that trip a lot easier: the hydraulic bed unloads the whole pile in seconds. See where to dump in the Phoenix area.
When bulk trash isn't enough
- You have remodel or construction debris, which bulk pickup won't take
- You missed your area's week and can't wait a month
- Your HOA restricts curbside piles
- Items need to be carried out of the house
That's when it's worth calling us. Junk removal in Scottsdale means our crew carries it out and hauls it away on your schedule. Or rent a dump trailer and clear it at your own pace.
